Has anyone tried this before? I recently tried the dedicated mining drivers from amd and I can't move my sliders from overclocking software(msi) so I was wondering if this will work to flash my rx580s bios and use mining driver?

Yes you can flash bios ,use blockchain driver ,apply patch and try using latest version of msi after burner it should work and give decent boost in cryptonote and ethash.
