Before I withdraw a large amount of Aeon coins, I tested 1 Aeon coin. No withdrawal problem at all. When I withdraw a large amount Aeon coins, it was in pending status over 5 days. In other words, HitBtc don't allow big amount of withdrawal no matter it's their system issue or people's issue. If it is system issue, why this system has withdrawal limitation? If the system has limitation, changing the limitation setting is simple. I couldn't understand what kind of problems hitbtc engineers need a few days to work on? It is what it is. The core of the technical design is the wallet, if the wallet has no problem it's very hard to have problem because exchange deposit/withdrawal dashboard just act as a interface only (The one Aeon coin successful withdrawal test is the evidence the interface between exchange to the wallet has no problem). The same wallet released by Aeon Dev has been used by Bittrex exchange without any deposit/withdrawal problems at all. So it's not hard to doubt either HitBtc is hiding somethings or HitBtc engineers are unprofessional. No matter which way, HitBtc is not professional at all.

I have been waiting over 5 days without any solutions from HitBtc, and I lost a lot of coin value which is over 5-6 bitcoins already due to price drop.

I am not the only case, there are lots of complaints on hitbtc services. See below webpage link.

I agree with you that hitbtc is not doing things professionally. I also have seen a lot of complaints aimed for hitbtc for a period of time which made me to not trust it. Since you are talking about aeon coin, you are talking about the one which is also in bittrex right? If that is the case you should have had put it on bittrex since the start but since it is already on hitbtc the only thing you can do now is contact their support persistently and post on their forum about your complaint.

Is this true? I just started using this trading site because some of my friends said this site is good but after reading your post OP I'm kind of worried about the withdrawal issue. I wanted to withdraw some coins from this exchange and I might experience the same thing you are experiencing now, and I really need the money asap.  Sad

Hitbtc tried to scam the Boolberry community out of 17.4BTC just for a listing fee. At first they offered to list Boolberry for 6BTC then lowered the price to 5.4BTC. Two weeks later I inquired about progress and they responded, "We're sorry but it looks like your project does not have the necessary API requirements." I call bullshit on this because AEON doesn't have them either and its listed there. When we made the API commits they asked for an additional 12BTC. In the end, they wasted our dev time on trivial requirements only to try to extort an additional 12BTC.

I'd stay away from these guys. From what I can tell, the same people behind Bytecoin[BCN] are the same people running Hitbtc. The former had a questionable founding and its ironic that majority of XMR volume is now on hitbtc given the bad blood between the two projects (XMR and BCN).

I'm considering the thought of using this exchange for quite some time now and I'm glad that I found this thread. Your information helped me a lot to avoid this exchange as it is not in my criteria to use an exchange that has terrible support team. I opened the link that you provided above and it appears that a lot of people are having problems with them. And it is also noticeable that they are not attending these issues with utmost priority. For all future users of this exchange, I would recommend you to assess yourself first if you really need to be involved with them. There are other exchanges out there that has better customer support team and is more trusted by the community.

How's your withdrawal by the way?

5-6 bitcoins worth is about $25,000, and you probably triggered the limit they allow for daily withdrawals.

I never understand why people try to withdraw large chunks like that. You are better off trying to withdraw about $2000 daily and getting all your money out that way.

I have a friend who always use hibtc exchange and it works fine. And personally Ive tried trading in this exchange so far I havent encountered any problem. 5-6 btc is a large amount and you should report this in hitbtc support.

While this might be the smartest thing to do. You should just be able to get your own money out.

I just created an account on hitbtc, lucky I did not trade there. If this is true, it is very detrimental to its users, 5 days is a long time. if likes to trade, must have many losses obtained.
Is this indeed a rule of hitbtc, that alt withdrawal in large quantities can not?
