Hi Guys

Has anyone showed the QR Code of their Bitcoin Electrum wallet to Coinomi to claim the Bitcoin Gold, what are the risks involved if you still have your bitcoin stored in the Electrum wallet? while showing it to Coinomi ?

My problem is if I have to move my Bitcoin to another address, to use my previous empty address at time of fork in order to claim the bitcoin gold its going to cost me quite a bit in transaction fees.

Anyone have any suggestions without having to move the bitcoin around or incur transaction fees to claim my bitcoin gold ?

I have never compromised my sensitive data to this  exchange but giving away your private keys to any second person/party is not safe.
However if you need to claim bitcoin gold from your wallet, you should move your couns first to safe wallet and then you are free to do so.
You should not store coins in the wallet in future if you doubt or not feeling safe with coinomi

Move your coins to a segwit address, and not a legacy one, if possible. This time you'll pay more fees but next time you move them, for any reason, you'll pay less.
To avoid high fees, you may find this web page helpful:

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Usually, on weekends the fees are much lower because there are no many transactions.
Good luck and let us know what happened, I haven't claimed my bitcoin Gold either.
