Greetings,

I've been watching the crypto scene with great interest over the past few months since bitcoin's popularity flared. I decided not to miss out a second time and actually got involved. I started by mining some btc/ltc on my rig, then my wife's, the kids, and the HTPC. A fun experiment more than anything. After realizing the handful of GPUs at my disposal were not very powerful I stopped. However, after doing more research and realizing ASICs are the way to go, I plan to speak more with my stepfather as he designs custom FPGAs as a hardware engineer. Could be a interesting and potentially profitable outcome if he has the time and resources to dedicate to a project.

Anyway, in the meantime I have purchased some Litecoins to try my luck on the exchanges and/or purchase some of these physical Litecoins which cropped up somewhat recently. I dunno, I like the idea of a physical coin vs paper wallet. If it all goes to hell, a neat keepsake. A reminder of what might have been...
