I have a few block erupters ordered and I have a Raspberry PI and a UnRaid server to it primarlly used to store, serve and download media. I already run one VM running under VirtualBox that hosts FreePBX. The server run 24/7 anyway, so less power would be consumed than if I deicate the RPi. Anyone mining on a VM? Any reason why its not a good idea?

I've not tried VirtualBox but I can confirm that mining with the Block Erupters in a VMWare VM does work with bfgminer and the USB to UART driver. It doesn't seem to work with cgminer though. Everything seems to work fine though that's not how I use it generally - only for doing development.
