Hello.

I made a purchase through BitPay. Purchase failed, payment was frozen. I want to return bitcoin, but such a problem - they "freeze" the rate and return as much as in USD at the time of purchase was.

In short, I paid 0.5 BTC - then it was 400 USD, now its much, much more.
And they will return bitcoins in the equivalent of 400 USD, and not 0.5 bitcoins. Is it normal?!

They have it in Terms (https://bitpay.com/about/terms#refunds-and-adjustments), but 9.1.1 was added after my payment. At the time of my purchase there were no such conditions (web. archive.org confirms).

What to do? How to return 0.5 BTC, not 400 USD?

Well if theyr indeed doing this to you, you should let them know your losing  a huge gap of money because theyr software didnt work as normal.
Request the amount if BTC to be given to u.

That was not fair honestly but if it's listed in their terms and condition well there's nothing you can do to receive your money in fiat..
This is just my first time to hear this issue in bitpay. They should give the amount what the amount of bitcoin you send since you are dealing in bitcoin not in usd..  If you start a debate from them i think it will be useless since it's terms..
What the other option to receive the money in fiat? better to accept it than nothing.. since bitpay is trusted for a long time...
if you are lucky and bitcoin was drop a lot better to don't accept the fiat and receive it in bitcoin..

Solving blocks can't be solved without my rigs.
