Two things that I have observed so far are that the price variation between different exchanges has dropped and the prices of altcoins have increased along with bitcoin's price.

It seems that Bitcoin Futures reinforces the legitimacy of Cryptocurrencies and motivates more people to get into the cryptos space.

Also, it seems that Bitcoin Futures manages people's expectation on the price and reduce the volatility.

What do you think?

None. Bitcoin Futures have minimal role to play here. There are more prominent factors effecting Bitcoin prices at the moment, most prominent among them at the moment is BCH rise!
Analyze BTC and BCH combo chart and you will find that both are inversely related to each other. Rise is one means stagnation or decrease in other. Due to excessive diversification from investors and BCH pump today, Bitcoin remained stagnant around $17K today but it will over soon. We will see it growing again. "Volatility is real essence of Bitcoin."

In my point of view, it is to early to make judgement how bitcoin future manage to have relevant in bitcoin perception and increasing value. I can give more time to it to mature and giving more space to be known by many investors. It has so little noises that market this and that surely because of the strong increases that silence the community for a moment.

It seems that futures did not affect bitcoin much, the CBOE were the only ones who pumped bitcoin a lot.. But since the CME started their own futures the price started to go down, well, maybe it is not because of them, it is just because all the hassle from bitcoin cash > bitcoin.
But it will be fixed soon, i am not scared like many of you right now.

I don't think BTC future can reduces the volatility. In my opinion now BTC could become more volatile tha ever before. Reason behind that is BTC future can be short-sell   and this might increase the volatility.
Yes that's true that it has increased the investors engagement in it and also a significant market cap rise can be seen in BTC. That proves that BTC future helps to gain more popularity than ever before.
