Give a try, but if the existing power cables have lot's of noise & long distance to the host Powerline device, this will degrade (severely) the receiving Powerline performance in terms of speed and higher latency.

Other than pulling the ethernet cables directly, what about consider wifi-to-wifi bridge ? Check your wifi signal coverage/performance in the garage.

I used powerline to connect my farm from the basement to garage and pretty much every single adapter worked fine with no noticeable problems, even the refurb units. Just make sure they are plugged in directly into the wall with no power strip.

Miners hardly use any bandwidth and I've had no problems with connection noise or dropouts. Dial-up is enough to keep miners online so unless packets are constantly dropped any connection works. If you have an adapter with LEDs showing connection speed red or orange is just fine for miners. For PCs maybe not so much.

Powerline work fine for me too. It didn’t work one time because I plugged a 1000W computer near.. too much noise but after unplugged it working well again 24/24  Wink
It’s approx 30m away (internet box —> switch —>Antminer D3 + L3+) !

Good to hear. Are you using a TP Link?
I used to use a mix of TP-Links, Netgear and Actiontec adapters. Two pairs of tplinks randomly died but the rest of them all worked fine. Actiontecs can be found really cheap on Newegg refurbished sometimes, and if you have BTC you can purchase em with your btc there.

I'm also using a powerline internet adapter for an L3+ with no problems.

Notes

1) Put the adapter and the L3+ power supply on the same breaker.

2) The instructions usually have some sort of procedure to sync the adapter to the "broadcast" unit.

3) The instructions may also mention that powerline transient suppressors interfere with the signal. You may have to unplug these if they are in use in the immediate area.

I'm also finding out that every couple of days I have to reset the L3+ because a few x's show up on the status display.

Hi guys! I have a problem  Huh I have the Antminer L3+ and I have tried to connect it with a TP-link AV1000 TL-PA7010P KIT Gigabit Powerline.
The port connection is ok. I can configure the miner and the pool's addresses. But It doesn't mine!

It simply reboot himself everytime.  There is a particular setting?... In short words it seems to be connected in local but not on internet.

I have tried another miner: Baikal miner. It goes! So I don't understand!

One more thing: everytime that I tried to connect the miner in this way, I have to Reset it, because It doesn't connect anymore to internet even if I reconnect directly to the router.  Huh
