Many people use unsafe by default Windows OS for mining, use wallets, and someone for gaming.
In one system use wallet and mining is a bad idea. Better have 2 systems or have a virtualbox.
Im create 2 lines of repack "Linux mint for home and games 22.2.21", of course it works for mining (Equihash, Ethash, Cryptonight ...)
It good for both - for be a main system, second system or virtualbox image os.
First image with preinstalled Nvidia driver, and (!) Supported windows DX9/DX11 games from the box (!) partially. (By wine patched with csmt)
You can play now Witcher 3, Divinity original sin 2, and after it mine some etherium&monero for night
For security reasons removed samba support.

System requirements: 64bit any processor, Any GTX 600+ videocard, 2Gb or more ram. 9Gb Hdd for mining only, more for other.
It's a better way to test first linux in life, or best way to very fast install system with driver.
Of course system is free.
Unfortunately i don't have a AMD card, i know you can remove Nvidia driver and install AMDGPU driver manually. (from amd site)
Second image cannot be used for mining, it's have unified video driver and same wine.

I even install a ublock (adblock analog), but you can remove it of course.

Installing linux only for mining is simply. It's linuxmint.com + some miner like claymore + your videocard driver + friendly interface.
Creating image with integrated proprietary videodriver, support windows x64, and filling wineprefix, harder a bit.
Many people tells ubuntu is simpliest. It's a good platform for constructing , but it's uncomfortable by default interface.
P.S.S. I have a two card rig, and my friend has a 5 videocard rig, and this system works perfectly.
I use system as main and one system, but have a another fresh copy in a virtualbox.
P.s.s.s After install for serious using - you must change your password! by default it' toooooo simple.
Installing OS with systemback, unfortunately i cannot tell in english, but i can add subtitles, i hope you can see all instalation process visual.

Of course i know some programs never can be played on Linux, like battlefield 1 or etc proprietary games with protects prevent you run software if you don't pay for OS. If you say - you can just use windows. You all life use one system, don't want a something new in your life? It's very useful known two or more systems.
