Ability to block Personal Messages from members Newbie and Below?

My inbox has been spammed with so many fake scam icos from newbies and brand new, if only there was a way to filter out messages from the 2 ranks where most of the spam come from so I can keep the legit conversations separate from the spam.

I've actually suggested this to theymos before after I was getting spammed by brand new bot accounts. It might even be best prohibiting newbies from messaging at all and bringing back newbie jail in some capacity. If they have a genuine or urgent concern they can ask it in there and maybe PM the person after they're out of jail. I know these sorts of restrictions are annoying but so is the abuse which sadly will only keep on happening.

Yeah, not sure what vod is on about here. PM spam should be dealt with on this forum as well.

Good idea, bcause a lot of spam, comes from newbies!
Also, 1,5 months is not so many time before jr. member

I'd love it if we had the option to refuse PMs from different member levels.  I get a lot of spam ICO messages, people begging for BTC, or other annoying messages with no value.  The thing that sucks is that these messages send email alerts, so it's an annoyance that stretches beyond the forum.  I'm actually going to set an email alert to auto-delete any messages from the forum that contain the, " (The body is omitted from this email because the sender is a newbie. Check the forum to read it.)" line while I'm thinking about it.  However, I'd prefer the sender got a message letting them know why their PMs are denied, as opposed to me just ignoring them.

Someone spammed my inbox with that Gunbot offer and the affiliate code Grumpy Kitty. Not sure if serious or .... I laughed my ass though

can we limit some of the lower ranks to be unable to send pm's to multiple users (as well as adding users to the carbon copy recipient list) at once if that's not a thing already? honestly dunno if it is or not.

Sorry guys, I was making a joke.  I said his concerns about PM spam will go away because he will start getting email spam when he reveals the address.
