If you want maximum ROI of your investment do not try the top alts because their price wont increase exponentially the best thing to do is to research which new alts would have a good future in the market.

Skycoin seems very interesting. It is at 100M market cap. It is fairly new and unknown. I guess some time will pass before people can understand what it is, though. Same thing as Raiden.

Hi. Personally, I believe believe a lot in ETH. However, as stated above, try searching for newly established Altcoins with high potential in the long-run (this can be observed by people's judgement, predictions, and statistics). Their price will be the most reasonable for you to buy them and might have a high ROI in the long-run. However, if you're searching for something which will give you a high ROI immediately, I'd suggest that you stick to ETH, Litecoin, IOTA, etc.

I am hearing a lot about Skycoin too. I think the main reason why it has gained so much interest is the fact that has a high market cap as supposed to other altcoins that even though they have higher value or better market movement going their way, their cap is not so much which means only a few may hold and invest with it. However, since the premise of your questions is "good options", I would say that I would choose those "strong" altcoins around like Eth, Ripple, and Waves. I call them strong because they have endured the bitcoin surge this past few months without experiencing significant price dump, or worse, being killed off like other altcoins.

agreed if you invested in top coins like btc a year ago you wont have much profits, unlike to the new alts last year they gave me x10000 profits in just a year,XRP,LISK,OMG,WAVES are my holdings.

I am now also interested in XRP, they have a good development lately, and I think xrp would be a very good investment option

It is true that some mainstream coin risks will be smaller. Compared with some ICO projects, the benefits of ICO will be great, but the risks are also great.
