Money transaction before Bitcoin (Interesting read)

I was arguing with someone over the online gambling raid's in the US, I stumbled upon this guy on Wikipedia.

His business had grown "10 to 20 per cent" every month since its inception. Five thousand clients in 70 countries - many of them online gambling operators - were using the company's technology to take payments from customers.

Before Paypal and before Bitcoin his company was the only easy way to send money through to internet to different sites. Then the DOJ/FBI kept on closing his accounts, very similar to what is happening to BTC exchanges lately.


This basically proves that money transmitters constantly had their accounts closed since the internet began.
