Andreas Antonopoulos give some insight into Bitcoin/crypto as a currency, addressing transaction speed among other things. Hang in past the 1st minute which is a short trip into "how high will it go." He appears very knowledgeable and speaks to how we are in the infancy of this technology comparing it to how the limitations of TCP/IP were overcome even as naysayers were saying they couldn't be (paraphrasing). Relating to the infancy idea he paints a picture of [horse and] buggy manufacturers/dealers sitting by the side of a road laughing while an automobile was stuck in mud unable to traverse the lane an able bodied horse could. (I will add that those that did not adapt and continued to laugh probably went broke or at least did not prosper as did the innovators laboring through the sludge.) He talks (in more detail and authority) about some ideas that have been mentioned in this forum before by insidedealer, robtmil, and a couple others regarding how layering, smart contracts, side channeling, batching etc will alleviate the current apparent slowness of transactions.
It addresses pretty much that single obstacle and most who take the time to view will likely find the 15 minutes not wasted.
