Burst just announced what is basically their roadmap, they are a Proof of Capacity currency, meaning the more hard drive space you have the more you mine. Much more energy efficient than Proof of Work, but better distribution and which is great for attracting miners, and provably evenly distributed coins unlike Proof of Stake.. which also happens to demand them to stay decentralized. They were even the first coin to implement true smart contracts. Very interesting coin in general. In fact, for traders.. John Mcafee just called them the most undervalued coin ever.

http://www.burst-coin.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/The-Burst-Dymaxion-1.00.pdfThe way I see it, ZCash style privacy is great, additionally the idea of combining payment channels with IOTA style tangle is pretty awesome and should definitely boost transaction processing, while still maintaining the strength of the entire 140 PetaByte and counting Proof of Capacity mining network to occasionally confirm the tangle. But point is, by using lighting network technology to switch your Burst over to a tangle, then combine it back at some point.. could be very powerful.
