Ive participated in 8 ICO's and have never seen this before. I contributed ~1ETH to this ICO, I received an email an hour or so later I got an email that stated:

"We have received your investment.

For additional confirmation please provide us with the TxHash."

Is it safe to give this out? The email address is @(ICOS name).io so it seems legit on that front but thats all I have to go by.

Ive just never had this request before so I wanted to check with the community... Advice?

I have never experienced the same thing even when using Ethereum in buying some ICO projects before. Now, since you established that the email must really be coming from the project itself then the request is quite legit. I understand that the TxHash is available to the public and can be shared to anyone. What you should never share ever is the Private Key of your wallet since that would mean the end of everything you worked for. Maybe they are just making an audit of the ICO and wants to make sure about your transaction. At any rate, it is good that you are so careful with what you are doing since there are so many hackers and phishers just lying around online ready to punch on possible victims. We can never bee too careful.
