The Steem Community is Launching a Promotion Campaign on Social Media!

From the 20th of February till the 27th of February, the Steem community is launching a promotion campaign on social media under the hashtag #sixtyseconds.
This is a community-run initiative to promote Steem on other social media platforms.

For this campaign, a couple of video advertisements have been created, some are actually pretty good.

Are there extra rewards for promoting this? I look through the steem link but unfortunately, i didn't get main idea.

That's interesting. Is Steem losing its popularity now? Anyway, it's good to see the community stepping up. I'm forwarding this info to my peers.

I always liked steem and steemit platform, It is ads less, try to protect copyright law, steem is using blockchain and you never know that you are using blockchain when you use it , it is fast and an easy way to make money!

This is really exciting!  Thanks for sharing this.  I already interacted with you on a couple of other platforms, but I thought I would stop in here and leave a comment as well.  I can testify as a fellow user of dapps on the Steem chain that it is a pretty cool place to hang out and invest your time and maybe money in.

i think steem will be so huge in the future we can see more application and startups adopting the smart media token system of steem and that can be the base of universal basic income in the future

Well, actually, they've just added ads to their platform. You only see them when you're not logged in though, which is fine by me.
They've added them pretty recently, so I doubt many people know about it.

It's definitely lost a lot of the hype that it was seeing in the beginning of 2017, most likely due to the price completely tanking.
Just recently, Steemit Inc.'s management have reached out to the community a lot more.

Ned, the co-founder of Steemit has done quite a lot of community livestreams the past couple of weeks.

Attracting new users is certainly a good week. Question and de they were before with their ads? When a project is experiencing a big crisis, they begin to get it through advertising. Now the incentive is of little interest to anyone. Because there are too few live users. These are mainly bots or multi-accounts for profit.

Now the incentive is of little interest to anyone. Because there are too few live users. These are mainly bots or multi-accounts for profit.

Too few live users? Well, maybe compared to back in early 2017, but I'm still part of a bunch of communities that have hundreds of active members.
The bots really are an issue though and I definitely hope some action will be taken against them.

I do think it's possible that part of the bot activity will be resolved with the next hardforks.
