It was slowing down on it's own regardless of ddos attacks.

surely having deepbits 5TH and btcguild 2.5TH offline had some effect, that's at least 60% of all the hashing power.

I personally stopped mining for a bit worrying my PSU may go south, it gave me some nasty signs few days ago, amazingly it still works without hi load for time being + the summer heat, but I will certainly resume sometime in the future.

This difficulty level is still *massive*.

Soloers and pools under 20ghash/s are undergoing 15-30 day rounds or worse. Some small startup pools might never find their first block at this rate because people will drop out after a month of not finding anything.

The fact is, the bigger your pool the safer your income is at the moment. Variance swings are huge at 1.56m difficulty for small miners. Some people wont be able to cope with month-long rounds & will join a pool that regularly pays every day.

Do you really think all miners on these pools simply stopped mining? because their pools under ddos???
Network hashing rate DID NOT drop 60% in past few days!

I guess, I just miss the days I was making 15 to 20 btc a day. Sad
