Demand for .NET?

Curious - Is there any demand out there for a .NET (C#) node?  (presumably with an externally facing interface that coders can hook into).  I've seen a couple projects, and I know at least two that are in progress of being made, but how many coders out there have ideas that depend (or would be easier) if one existed?
