Do you agree that ripple is making a mockery of decentralization because ripple is involved in  banks which are centralized. Ripple is rank number 2 base on market capitalization of cryptocurrencies.

I am not agree this point. Because ripple is not making a mockery of decentralization. Majority of the companies and competitors are invested in the currency. So this reach 2 rank in the market capitalization of cryptocurrency. This have reached in good position in the market. So don't confuse the ripple coin it is most trusted cryptocurrency in the market.

What makes you think that it is mandatory for every single cryptocurrency that exists to be decentralized?
Sure it may make a mockery of decentralization itself because it is involved with banks, but that doesn't make it less of a valid cryptocurrency than Bitcoin.
Ripple solves a very widespread problem and is thus a great currency even if it's not decentralized.

I disagree with this because even though ripple has banks under its backer i think it will still be decentralized because there are many investors in ripple not only the bank guys. So basically ripple just got boosted with the huge investments of the banks, but still it is decentralized.

I agree, it should not be called a cryptocurrency.

The argument is more one of decentralisation than anything else, should all cryptocurrencies be decentralised or not? If you answer that question saying 'yes they should be decentralised' then it is fair to say that having the currently no 2 'cryptocurrency' being centralised in nature is a mockery.

Well, ripple has made significant progress in 2017 there is doubt about that fact though in terms of per unit value ripple cannot in any way compared to Bitcoin and some other top altcoins that have done well so well in the last couple of month's.

BTW according to Bloomberg, Ripple’s gains in 2017 have far outpaced the gains of Ethereum and bitcoin, which have gained roughly 9,000 and 1,400% year-to-date, respectively.

old but still their technology is better at some point, faster time to transfer is what we need today
can you imagine transfer today and you will receive it 2 days again?? that's not good for crypto good name, isn't it??
if we want to defeat ripple, then build better technology, this will make more investor to get out from ripple and invest in better coin
