Hey guys!

This is about ZEN mining, hope this is the appropriate section.

So here is a quick screen shot of my first day or so mining on Supernova

https://i.imgur.com/Zg2mKYt.png

As you can see in this image, the earnings are 0.68255416

No I understand this includes the TXFee that is paid to the pool for the TX.

This TXFee totals .055 as shown on the far right.

 0.68255416
-0.055
---------
0.62755416

The pool claims to have a 1% fee

0.68255416 x 0.99 = 0.67572862

I am not sure why Supernova is charging 0.055 for the transfer when they claim a 1% fee, additionally even with the high 0.055 charge, I am still not even receiving the correct amount.

My final balance in my wallet is 0.59088452 as shown in the image below.

I realize this is a small difference, but in the long run this could total a large amount of money. As I plan to build a few rigs totaling about 40 GPUs I would like to understand exactly what is happening here.

As I receive payments at the moment in 0.01 intervals, that is nearly 3 payments missing worth of ZEN.

I am using EWBF with --fee 0

If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be awesome!

P.S. Is there a better pool to be mining with to avoid these kinds of fees?

EDIT: I just realized that the transfer fee is in ADDITION to the 1% on Supernova, while this does not balance everything out, it certainly brings it a bit closer. So my next question would be...is this 0.001 TXFee on ALL transfers regardless of the ZEN amount?

For instance, if I transfer 0.01 ZEN I am charged 0.001.
If I transfer 1 ZEN I am charged 0.001.

Is that correct?

Thanks for the help!

P.S.

I see LuckPool has a 0.5% fee and zenmine.pro has a 0% fee. Has anyone had any experience with this pools? In your opinion is it worth the switch from Supernova?

Additionally, on zenmine.pro they claim to pay you all rewards the blocks, and the fees. Does Supernova do this?

Sorry for the long post with multiple questions, still new in the mining scene.

There’s no way to avoid transfer fees, it’s 0.001 ZEN per transfer.

As far as switching pools, I’d only switch to the other pool if it finds more blocks and has a larger hash to make the lesser pool fee worth it.
