Hi, and gcminer linux problems

Hi everyone, I know this is the wrong place to post, but im kind of locked here for now,

Any ways Im trying to get my miner running on linux, I got xbuntu 12.(something) install, Got my amd drivers installed now I'm haveing problems geting the miner to work.

Well I've used this guide "Complete Guide To Mine Bitcoin on Xubuntu 12.04"
and now I'm stuck at the gcminer part,
I've downloaded it off the web as the document gives an older verson
I've did
export DISPLAY=:0
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1

With no problems
but
./cgminer -n
 Says comand not found, or could not start. or just other werid things when i try running it,

I'm asuming im missing something rather important.
I'm useing the cgminers in my home directory.

...I'm so close to the finish line.
