Hello everybody,
I've find a guy that is selling 3xRadeon HD 7950 at 230€. I'm thinking about buying them and create from scratch my first mining rig.
According to nicehash this still seems to be profitable. My bills are 0.22€ Kw/h and this would let me earn about 150€ per m.
Considering, i've to buy every other component of the rig, is this an option or not? If not, what do you suggest for a starter like me?

Your electricity rate is a little high to be investing in old hardware, especially if you're building an entire new rig from scratch.

The 7950 was an upper-end card, but it's from a generation that is much less efficient with power than current generations. Compared to the hashrate you're going to get, this will raise your PSU requirements (and expenses) and your electricity costs.

While it may not be the best decision, it is probably still profitable. I'm still mining on some old 7700 and 7800 series GPUs, albeit with an electricity rate much less than yours. (Although, this was a revived rig from 2012-2013.)

Thank you for your answer,
Yeah, i know electricity costs are really high.
I've also give a look to other gpus but this 3x 7950 seems to be the best in terms of ROI.
I've seen many "deals" for new gpus but they starts from 270€ and the ROI of a rig is higher, at least 3/4 months.
Are this the usual times when trying to build a rig from scratch?

I have been mining Hush (equihash) and Intense coin (crytptonight) with my HD7950. This time of year it does not cost me anything extra for electricity because I have electrical heating and it is Winter here in Sweden. My heaters are going with less Power usage when mining :-)

The hashrate is similar to GTX 1060 but power consumption is higher.
