Hi everyone,

does anyone  tried to work on Z270 Gaming M5 M2_2 slot (second slot)?  I am able to get M2_1 (close to CPU) detect my GPU but when i have both GPU on M2_1 and M2_2 windows 10 only detect M2_1 GPU but not M2_2 GPU.  And, i tried to swap M.2 to PCIE adapter and i get same result too....not really sure what is the issue here, i thought both M.2 slot are the same.

any help will appreciated.  Thanks.

I used MSI Z170 M5  and also M3.

Both of them only 1 of M2 slot works, I could not make 2nd M2 to work.

Strange, i have a msi z170 gaming m7 with an m2 ssd and pci adapter on other m2 socket. I think Z270 has better native m2 support than z170.

This weekend i will try use both sockets for two pcie adapters.

I have contacted MSI support team.  They told me it is adapter design issue, and asked me to do this "manually short circuited the seventy-third and seventy-fifth pins on adapter to make the seventy-fifth pin defined as ground for a try"  I am not really sure it will burn the motherboard, still not confident to do it.
