Hi guys,

I am looking to build a mining rig (around 6-8 GPUs) and I would like your advice on which hardware (complete list; motherboard, PSU, GPU, etc) I should buy based on the criterias listed below and also which coin is the best to mine atm (I heard good stuff about Ethereum Classic)

- Electricty cost is not an issue (low cost for electricity where I live)
- budget would be around 5000-6000$ USD
- I haven't took a decision yet on which crypto currency to mine yet so any suggestions are welcome

Any suggestions/opinions would be welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks.

how bout ya do you own research, there is enough information on here that you should be able to find what you need to know and if you cant then you shouldn't be even thinking about getting into mining, you lazy ass people that just wanted everything handed to you on a danm silver platter

I am also planning to invest around $20,000 in mining, most probably ethereum. But I am also concerned that Ethereum might suddenly shift to full POS this year. My place have high electricity rate but some colleague still sarbing decent returns from Ethereum.

For 6/8 x GPU, you can get motherboard Asrock H81 PRO BTC R2.0 LGA 1150 (6xGPU), Asus Prime Z270-A (7xGPU+M2 adapter for 8x GPU), B250 BTC D8P (8xGPU).

For GPU, if you want AMD cards can buy Vega or Rx 580. If NVIDIA can buy 1070 ti. And SSD buys Samsung 128 GB or 256 GB. For PSU accordingly with GPU will you buy because every card has Power Consumption is different.
