How do you find the experience (especially without segwit)?
Currently LN software only work when segwit is activated. There is no "without segwit".

I've set up a lightning node on the Bitcoin testnet following this guide: https://medium.com/@jadmubaslat/bitcoin-lightning-network-node-easy-setup-tutorial-for-windows-desktop-users-a-how-to-guide-9937b5a8a669
The author of that article is completely right in saying that it wasn't really hard to set up and you can do so in Windows.

Just took me around 40 minutes to get everything configured right and working.

How do you find the experience (especially without segwit)?
Currently LN software only work when segwit is activated. There is no "without segwit".

Yeah, I was also a bit surprised to see that bit...

Yeah, I was also a bit surprised to see that bit...
LN works with Segwit only because non-segwit transactions are vulnerable to transaction malleability.

Must've misunderstood something, good to know, thanks for answers! Seems like not such a difficult thing to which is good prognostic.
