BTCHey everyone, I am a beginner miner just looking to make a few extra bucks from bitcoin and am looking for advice.BTC

What I do currently: right now I am using a gaming PC (GTX 1050 intel pentium 3.5 ghz) and a couple old laptops on NiceHash to mine which gets me anywhere from $2-4 per day. I also have a Coinbase account which I deposit from NiceHash into every time I reach the minimum.

I am just a highschool student trying to make some money on the side so obviously Im not looking to buy server farms or $6,000 rigs but I am looking to buy a new rig under $500 that is the most profitable and find a new mining software because I believe that there are some pools that are more profitable than NiceHash.

If anyone could tell me a nice rig under $500 that is profitable and/or a software/pool that would work better than NiceHash that would be great.

**PS. I know mining alone isnt profitable so I plan on buying and selling the bitcoin I make for profit  Wink

There is a lot of information on this forum of what you are looking for. However let me tell your mining rig is definitely not going to do anything at all. BTC is not mined by GPU so your computer and old laptops won't be able to extact a single buck. You should go the altcoin way and save for an ASIC miner, at this point BTC is not profitable for mining unless you have large infrastructure so don't even waste your time

As I stated if you had read my post, I make about $2-4 from this one machine alone (the laptop generates about $0.2) and I use NiceHash which mines for altcoin and then converts it to bitcoin automatically. In about a week I generated about 0.001 BTC or $14.00. I know this is not a lot so I am asking if there are other mining softwares I can use with my machine or any SPECIFIC machines under $500 that work well now because most videos I see online are from a few months ago and they are no longer relevant. If you or anyone else could respond that would make my day.  Smiley
