Hello,

I'm planning on buying a computer for personal use: mainly programing, designing and some gaming. I was looking to buy something that can be used as a mining rig when idle (75% of the day). I understand GPU mining is not cost effective when taking into account electricity costs but I happen to live in a country where electricity is cheap.

I have been doing some research but there is simply too much information to digest, perhaps you can give me a hand.

This is what I'm initially aiming for:
- A good balance between cost and performance.
- A decent processor / motherboard / RAM amount as this will not only be used as a mining rig
- 2 graphic card setup with the possibility of adding more cards in the future.
- An initial inversion of $1250 ~ $1750

I know this question has been asked before, but I was not able to find a tread with updated information. If this is a duplicate, please let me know and I will delete the post.

Thanks in advance.
