I made a mistake on EtherDelta ... instead of buying a token I pressed the transfer and sent ETH to the address of the seller. Does anyone know how to get my ETH back?

I guess you can not access it anymore. because it will always ask for your phone number verification

Why did these &^%%$&$ charge 5.25ETH I guess that money has gone even though the transaction failed?

I think its to impossibly to get confuse on clicking the button on where to buy and transfer token, because as you can see it is pretty much far from each other. Maybe you are having lost control of you mental faculties and do the task by your instinct.

Does anyone know how to get my ETH back?

Its sad to say that you can't do anything about it, But your lucky if the owner of that wallet returns what you've sent.
Just learn your lesson from your mistake and Just think of it in positive way that its Better to give than to receive!

Oh my God. Before trying any actual crypto transaction, people should study about the different aspects of crypto technology. I'm sad to say, ETH is not a playground for the tech-illiterate.

WIth Etherdelta, There's no reversing of transactions, just pray the receipient returns the ETH you sent.

if you buy token in etherdelta and your transaction is successful, I think you got the token you bought. so where is your loss?

The transactions are  not reversible and that is why you should becareful when doing transactions using etherdelta or any others exchangers. The only way you can get your fund back is to pray for God to touch the receivers heart in other to send the tokens back for you.
Many mistakes like these are happening every day and I do believe that one has to be focus when doing trading in other not to continue beating yourself. I believe that is why some people are advocating for centralize system. A decentralized system is not control by any one and nobody you can contact. However, I will like to said that sorry for your loses and please be careful when ever you are making transactions.

Thats the hard part when you made a mistake sending on crypto address,  all transactions cannot be reverse unlike paypal where you can make a dispute and if you win your money will go back on your account.

Our lack of knowledge would really always put us on harm and this scenario is an example. If you are really newbie in trading Etherdelta do have its trading guide regarding on how you do purchase or sell orders which if you did able to read it up then you wont not surely make this mistake. Transactions are irreversible and theres no chance on getting those tokens back unless if the owner of such address would voluntarily give it to you.
