Hello all!

I got in to crypto currencies some time before christmas and have mainly used binance to trade on. I've taken my initial investment back now and have some left behind to keep on using.

I am looking for your expert advice r.e. some desktop wallets to use! I am mainly having issues trying to understand ERC-20 token storage.

I have downloaded Rippex for my ripple and XLM wallet (obviously for XLM). I have WTC and FUEL and am looking for a wallet for these currencies. I here about meta mask and myetherwallet. Perhaps someone could clarify what these actually are? They both appear to be hot wallets as they require online access (maybe i'm wrong with that!).

Any advice regarding best places to store these ERC-20 tokens would be helpful! (sorry if this has been asked 100000000 times before)

Thanks,

Ben Smiley

I posted a similar question here about some coins I was interested in. I will be following your thread, you may want to check my thread as well.

One thing I will say is that any wallet I do download, before I even open it, I upload it to virustotal.com to see what its report says. I have read that because some real malware uses miner like functionality, that you sometimes get false positives. I still don't have a definitive way of determining which wallets are safe vs. those that are not, especially for more obscure altcoins.
