Unfortunately for someone like me who just realized how valuable an Nvidia GTX 1080Ti when it is still worth around $600 3 months ago. Currently, the price of GPU jumped about 30% from the previous price. In addition, GPU with certain types is very difficult to obtain. Is it true the miners who make the GPU market increasingly crowded? Thus, more GPUs are adopted by miners rather than gamers.

Miners are partly the blame but there is also a worldwide memory shortage from the manufacturers which is also a key component in graphics cards. Supposedly supposed to rectify mid this year but mining is growing exponentially.

I hope that they will "stop" producing the gpu's for some time.. So the difficulty will "sit" for a while Smiley
And yes, I think that miners are going to overtake the GPU market.

Read an article the other day that said that Nvidia gets 40% of its profits from selling to miners.

That's pretty big for Nvidia. I have also seen that the Nvidia corporation has experienced a significant rise from the $90 figure at the beginning of the year in 2017, and is now at $ 220. I believe this is influenced by the increasing demand for GPUs that I'm sure are dominated by miners. doesn't rule out GPU prices will continue to increase from now on because people have become more interested in mining.

The demand is clearly from miners side and not because of the gamers. Compared to Asic and any mining hardware, GPU are pretty much affordable than them.

As long as current ones are selling like crazy, why would they release anything new? There is already volta but for 3000$. So, there you have it. AMD is more likely to come up with something new.

I'm disappointed AMD doesn't massively ramp up production to meet the mining demand like they did in 2013 but I understand at the same time they might have the same problem of demand dying down for a short time and having cards that don't sell in the meanwhile. Component prices all across the board are rising, not just GPU prices, too. It's not a great time to be a PC gamer.
