Author Topic: Kraken issues/ Account temporarily disabled  (Read 285 times)

This seems common of late, now it has affected me. First I kept getting "invalid login" even though I know the creditials are right, so I figure whatever and changed my password successfully, now the site says I'm temporarily disabled, seriously wth. I created a support ticket but this vague information really bothers me.

1- Why was my account temporarily disabled? Does temporarily disabled mean account locked?

2- Temporarily means? How long? It's been 2 days now.

I've peaked through a few similar threads but none really state what the solution was/is. I've only gotten the generic auto reply so far for my ticket.

Any help would be appreciated.

His account also disabled after too many wrong login attempt but eventually he got his access back after getting in touch with support person. You need to wait for response in your support ticket.

Kraken's site has been having issues for months now. I have a Kraken account and it was linked to a protonmail email account. My protonmail subscription lapsed so I requested Kraken to de-link that email address and link my Outlook email account instead. From that day I submitted that request, the whole updating process was a nightmare. I had to reverify my identity, KYC, proof of address and latest bank statements etc. For every submitted document, I had to wait weeks for a response. The entire procedure took 3 months.

They used to be a very good and professionally run exchange. SEPA transfers were executed on same-day basis. The money arrived on my IBAN account within hours. Withdrawals were quick and painless. Not sure what happened since then. Management issues perhaps or policy changes or maybe operational issues. Endless open tickets and countless complaints about them on this forum alone. Their website seems to be online on certain hours of the day with frequent cloudfare outages. Sometimes I suspect they deliberately refuse access to their trading site as a way to manipulate the market.

Never store massive amounts of coins (or all your crypto assets) on any exchange. The risk of being locked out and denied access to your coins is a dangerous game of Russian roulette.

My account is temporarily disabled for 10 days. I answered 3 times the automatic answers of the support (support@kraken.com) with the requested credentials and still no answers !!

I do not know what to do, please help

Hello!

I used Kraken for the first time yesterday and was very excited to use another site instead of my normal GDAX and COINBASE trading sites.

Bought some Ripple which is not offered on GDAX.

Everything went smoothly on 2 XRP purchases then I was logged out somehow automatically after a half hour or so.  I tried several times to log back in but the login screen said repeatedly "invalid user".  Since I was entering the correct information to login, I tried several times.

I then changed my password but that didn't help either.  I received the Invalid user again.  I sent in a support ticket ######.  I filled out all the information.  I then sent in another ticket ###### because "Account temporarily Disabled" showed up when I tried to log in after the first ticket.

I put in an expedited ticket as well using the first ticket number I received ######.  

Please advise because I'm stuck and need back into my account (of course).

Thank You for your time!

I'll keep looking and sending tickets.  Whatever I find out I will post.

Update: after escalating my ticket within 24hrs I got a human response (appears to be) from Franz stating they are forwarding the answers I provided to an account specialist and at about 40 mins past that, I got another email from Jannik stating my account is now unlocked.
