This is a real shame indeed. I still remember when one of the highest records at an ICO had been reached by singularDTV in a very short time and at that time we thought everything was an unthinkable amount. If with that amount of money it was more than enough to carry on a valid project now with all these overpriced ICOs there is only more money for developers who will not do anything and will dump on people when the market will collapse

Hello everyone,

I was talking to couple of genuine entrepreneurs who have issued ICO. They are saying that the market has been very tough as there is so many ICO , many scammers who are willing to spend money to advertise and expand their reach.

This has led small entrepreneurs to suffer. How can we help with this problem , any suggestions ?

There is nothing to be done as a community, as an individual the only thing you can do is to invest in projects that are serious and have hopes of making a difference, if you only invest with the intention to make money you could invest in scam icos that could generate profits for you but at the end they will scam someone.

Will,in my thoughts that its better the market would fertilize all ICO  coming inside in there registration, because they are the one who capable to know if this is fraud or not into the market, and by doing this they maintain the credibility of the name of cryptocurrency.many some of  ICO scammers are there purpose to take advantage of the few investor whose purpose to scamming some of your few investment.so to avoid this its better that the market who accept ICO ,they must  examine  and fertilize all incoming ICO entrepreneurs if it is legit or not to avoid fraud, and hesitation.

ETH price keeps rising is another concern.

Better wait for tokens to be on exchanges. My 2 cents.

Do your research and follow big community will become a very good though. I meant a big community gives you a lot of discussion about the icon. Because the majority of the participant is not only you. And another people will try to do their research too and then you can try start to discuss a sketchy thing in the ico. It may better for you.

There are many small developer teams that don't have the chance to show their capabilities of creating the new technologies that are connected with the specific altcoin because of the scammers that are prevailing with such small projects. Investors are usually backing from the small campaigns in the fear of the loss of their investment into vain. The only chance for the small developers lies in the trust of the investors that are very well informed about the specific project power to realize its plans and to sustain that trust the investors have given to the project. ICOs with the proper financial background can implement themselves into the market wheel very fast but if the goals that they are promising are not achievable the finalized coin can fall down in value very fast. Investors are very picky and the start-bonus of the big developer team doesn't mean that the project will succeed in the end.

I think that if the project is interesting, and has technology then scammers do not prevent them from raising money,Interesting projects always attract popularity

One of the best ways to take care of these fake and fraudulent ICOs is for ICOs to be subjected to regulations. I know that there will be challenge of the fears that ICO regulatory body being influenced negatively by some individuals. But how will you compare that fear with the fear of losing millions of dollars.

As long as you involve with the right projects, you won't have problems. Risks are expected because you will have great profit if you pick the correct projects. Risk is the component of ICO.

It's the same ICO strategy as it was some years ago so I don't know what are you reffering to. Also , it's your choose if you want to participate into ICO's or not. The capital they want to achive is high only because bitcoin is high at this moment , think about it.

It is very expensive and it is an issue for ICOs that are legit and don't have the cash to throw around. The best thing to do is build a community through content marketing and this forum / social media. A well planned out campaign can be a successful one even with a small budget if the concept and idea are well thought out.

One advantage to the fact that it is expensive is that it can price out shoddy ICOs, as they are worried that their investment won't pay off.

How about scammers who COPY all content from a legit ICO and only change the address to wich the funds must be sent??

How to fight this?

For example this is a scam webpage: http://ico-envion.org/

Who is targetting 2 legit ICO: Globcoin and Envion

Terrible
