I'm in Asia and need to sell some BTC. My dad owns a small boat in Penang and he rented it out to a German family for two weeks. When they returned it he was short of Malaysian Ringgit and offered BTC as an alternative. After explaining what it is, we accepted and now want to liquidate.

Terms: escrow only (preferably localbitcoins.com)

The coins are here:

http://blockchain.info/fb/1gcuuq

Hoping for at least USD 95 per coin to get the agreed value for the boat's rental and fuel.

Payment preferably by Western Union since I doubt a seller reading this thread would (by sheer coincidence) be reading it a few blocks from where I am posting it. Again, for safety, escrow only please. None of these Paypal thing (a definite no-no) and none of these please-check-my-feedback-and-see-how-trustworthy-i-am line. The internet is not to be trusted.

--

Update: Still available. Can reduce my ask rate to $92. Same conditions as above. Escrow only (preferably localbitcoins.com) against Western Union payment.

I think the closest you can try is the Singapore Bitcoin exchange at https://www.fybsg.com/

Thanks for the inputs. Sorry for the paranoia. Was contacted by someone in Bangkok on localbitcoins.com and almost went for his deal but his feedbacks were not so positive. Plus when I suggested an in-person payment at a bank, total silence ensued.

Thanks. Registered and checked their conditions. They only withdraw to a (local) Singapore bank account. No option to pay to either a non-Singapore account. And no Western Union payments too.

Was hoping to do this on www.sgitcoin.com but in the last minute I googled the site's owner (Zhou Tong) and found a not-so-nice article about him.

I'm from Malaysia and frequent tween pg/kl often enough.
If you still have your coins and wish to offload at a fair rate ill be glad to consider.

Also happy to do a face-2-face exchange at mutual location if you wish Smiley

Cheers.

Why won't you use some exchange? MtGox has best prices. Face to face transactions with BTC are kinda funny  Cool

Sure, if he wants to wait 3 months for the money to hit his bank account he should try MtGox.

Off-Topic, MtGox stole a €2000 deposit from a friend of mine, and now, 1 month later is still "looking for the transfer", even after my friend spent €60 paying MtGox's bank to confirm the deposit was made, which they did.
MtGox is run by incompetent thieves, is my conclusion. Stay away!

You should try to use the currency exchange section outside of newbie jail. You will get better deals there.

Excuse, have mixed up the decimal point with the thousand separator.

Are you still trying to sell the BTC22.771 @ US$92.00?  Just appears a long time since you first posted and nobody has bought.  I may be interested, I am in Thailand.
