I am not sure if it is that good if such big finance giants enter the market. Volatility will be much higher and it will strengthen price developments in both directions. We have seen in the latest crash/correction what impact an expiring future contract can have on the price.

The value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might go up or down, but most people have realized that they are here to stay. Goldman Sachs has realized this and the fact that there is money to be made, in the form of commissions and advisory fees. So why shouldn't they dip their hands in this pie, especially when it can be very rewarding?

It can be a good idea that they ask Goldman but if ever he will invest in crypto world, is it going to be alright or no? Of course no! Yes value can rise in just a single day but Goldman can make the table turn down if he invest and will just leave. And probably, I don't think that he will agree since Bitcoin anonymity is not limitless.

Not sure whether it's the news sites rehashing all this Goldman Sachs interest in crypto currencies stuff, or that Goldman Sachs itself is doing it (I personally hint at the first option), but this is becoming a bit silly to be honest. These articles contain nothing that we didn't know already, so it's a bit of a desperate attempt to push out an article in return for ad pennies. We know already that Goldman Sachs is interested in crypto and that they are looking to develop their own trading platform. I'm waiting for actions, and not more words.
