AdvenME - Application for private cross-country deliveries

BTC The blockchain technology makes the world more open and transparent, improving and simplifying multiple aspects of our lives. Postal deliveries and shipping are already covered by giants like USPS, IBM and Walmart that implement the blockchain to track the shipping and storage of parcels.

However, these initiatives by big fishes are still centralized a bit, as they are funded and developed by their respective brands. Startups like Roadie are the whole other level — the initiatives aimed to build a network of users that can ship their parcels privately, by the car drivers that go to their expected destination.

AdvenME (short from Adventure Time) is the step even further. There always are some people flying or going by train somewhere, to another city or country. Why not ask them to deliver your parcel and let them earn a little in the process? There are postal and delivery services for that, of course — like FedEx, for example. However, when using these services the customers pay for the salaries of all the company personnel, for all the storage and delivery expenditures, etc. In addition, your parcels go through an established delivery workflow that lasts a day in the very least.

Would you like to learn more on how this system works? I will describe this in more details in the upcoming posts!

What if you need to deliver a parcel from Prague to Berlin in just 3 hours? You post a request to the AdvenME mobile app, and if someone is going there right now, they answer your request. The same goes vice versa — a Traveller that has some spare luggage space can post their offer to deliver some parcel to a certain destination. The Senders then bid for the opportunity to send their parcels and the Traveller can choose and accept the bid, depending on the parcel weight.

Once the bid is accepted by the Traveller, the payment is frozen on the Sender’s wallet with a promise to pay the Traveller once the parcel is delivered. When the Sender and the Traveller meet to give the parcel to the Traveller, the Sender generates the QR-code using the AdvenME app and the Traveller scans this code. The transaction is then marked as “parcel picked up”

When the Traveller arrives to their destination and delivers the parcel to the Recipient, the Traveller generates the second QR-code and the Recipient scans it. This closes the block, the transaction receives the status “parcel delivered and received” and the funds are transferred from the Sender’s wallet to the Traveller’s account excluding the AdvenME platform fee.

This way the senders can have their parcels delivered quickly, cheap and without any bureaucracy. The safety of the delivery is granted by the reputation system. Once the Recipient confirms the package delivery, the Sender and the Traveller receive the popups with an offer to mark their experience on the scale up to 5 stars. These ratings will be later displayed on all offers and bids.

The payment rates and possible cancellation situations when using AdvenME

There can be multiple situations that require the cancellation of the transactions. They will proceed as follows:

  • If the Traveller cancels the deal before the flight, the funds return to the Sender. The Sender receives a push notification with a suggestion to pick other Traveller (if any exist).
  • If the Traveller cancels the deal after the flight then the funds return to the sender. The Sender receives a push notification and becomes the Recipient. The Traveler should return the package backward. The Sender can report the current Traveller to the police in case the package is not received back.
  • If the Sender cancels the deal 48 hours before the flight - 80% of the funds return back, 20% go to the Traveller, with the exempt of AdvenME platform fee.
  • If the Sender cancels the deal 24 hours after the flight - 60% of the funds return back, 40% go to the Traveller, with the exempt of AdvenME platform fee.
  • If the Sender cancels the deal 5 hours after the flight - 30% of the funds return back, 70% go to the Traveller, with the exempt of AdvenME platform fee.
  • If the Sender has not delivered a package to the Traveller to the agreed place and in time, the Traveller can report the current Sender. In this case 30% of the funds return back to the Sender, 70% go to the Traveller, with the exempt of AdvenME platform fee and the Sender receives one negative point.
  • If the Traveller did not appear at the agreed place on time and did not deliver the package, the Sender or the Recipient can report the current Traveller to the police. In this case 100% of the money remain in the Sender’s wallet.

It is planned to list the AdvenME tokens on Poloniex and Bittrex at the start of the ICO.
When the application is released and promotion company starts we expect the token price to rise along with rising the amount of users. After the ICO ends we plan to list the token on other major cryptocurrency exchanges.
