Another newbie joining the forum

Hi, new to bitcoin here. I've managed to download and compile both the bitcoin-qt and multicoin java program, both work fine except the initial sync with bitcoin-qt took quite sometime, also I don't like multicoin putting the configuration in ~/Multicoin/, maybe I can set it to go somewhere else? I see there is an android wallet, is there an iPhone wallet already? Thanks.

The whole blockchain is something like 10 Go to download. You can use an online wallet like inputs.io or blockchain.info
