Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending

Seems simple enough to me; you want him to do something, you should pay him for his time.

It wasn't long ago that I had this little message beneath my avatar: it read, "Why fear hell?  We're already in it."  Someone had messaged me (presumably a religious person but he never said) asking me to change it to something else, because it "isn't good for people to read that" (and wouldn't explain what this meant, either.)  I said to him, I would love to change those words, and all I'm asking for is 1 BTC in return.  He wouldn't bite; he said I should do it for free, despite my own wishes.  I figured, if I was asking for 1 BTC, it should've been clear I didn't want to change it because someone asked, but apparently it wasn't.  I told him to contact me again when he had the coin, and he never messaged me again.  I wound up changing it months later on my own volition.

Anyhoo, there was another point in time where Matthew had asked me to edit my post because he accidentally posted too soon and wanted to change a few bits that I'd stored in my quote.  I think Matt's a pretty cool dude (I don't know why people don't like him but I haven't been around very long so what do I know), and he had purchased my services once before (more like, he donated 1 BTC to me out of the blue, and I felt obliged to make something for him), so I was happy to do that little thing for him, and would do so again.

Point is, if it's really that important, you'll be ready to pay for it to happen; you can't ask favors from people, insult them when they refuse, and then attempt to ridicule them in public for their decision; this is exactly the opposite direction to go in if you ever expect them to go through with that favor, and by now, I don't know if it'll ever happen.  Maybe he'll keep it that way just to spite you; maybe you'll resort to asking mods to take care of the problem after refusing to help the situation yourself.  My advice: apologize, lock the thread, and in time, everybody will forget this ever happened.

In the infamous bit thread, LukeJr once posted something of which I quoted and commented upon. He sent me a PM kindly asking me to delete my post. I couldn't do it fast enough in spite of high tensions at the time.

He is accepting to edit his post, he just ask for some tip.
You can agree on the amount ...
How about 0?

Tip should be for a delete...not an edit.   Shocked

Then again......this thread should be trashed by mods.

Wouldn't be strange that a quoted post about "hacked by" text suddenly disappeared?
