Same with BCash, LTC, and even ETH, that requires unsustainable energy intensive mining.

Will the technologically superior cryptos such as Cardano (ADA), NEO, perhaps EOS, and even Stellar (XLM) eventually gain popularity (as more people knows and understands about them), and increasingly move towards these options until a tipping point where they are at the same level as BTC/ETH/BCash, and eventually these first- and second-(for ETH) generation coins no longer are relevant?

Do you guys think the improvements that are being developed to keep BTC relevant could beat altcoins (that has a good team behind it) that were built and optimized from bottom-up -- especially on that implements innovations that are subjected to the very rigorous scientific peer-review process that Cardano (ADA) subjects itself to?

Note: I am focusing primarily on technology, not pricing.

I would love to hear everyone's opinion; and the reasons behind it.
