特朗普(Trump)政府周一表示，将恢复处理11个被认定对美国国家安全构成高风险之国家的难民申请，同时加强对这些难民的审查程序。美国政府高级官员称，新的审查程序将包括对难民申请者及其家人增加单独面谈，但未给出其他细节。眼下入境美国的难民数量降至低位，原因之一是美国政府几乎完全停止处理来自这些国家的难民入境申请，这些国家包括近年来产生大量难民的伊拉克和叙利亚等国。
