i have 6 BE's using bfgminer on btcguild....btcguild worker settings suggest to set difficulty at 2 for 2GH/s.....but with PPLNS, what does that actually mean?

Is there any difference in the end number of shares or payout?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link... I had trouble searching for stuff yesterday - the forum had me timed out of searching and posting almost everything I tried to do.

I am still confused as to the difficulty setting -- according to the linked post, if I select a diff setting of 1, I will submit 2x shares compared to if I chose diff 2.  If the payout is simply based on number of shares submitted, regardless of the diff level of the find, then there is no incentive to find higher diff's....

Is my thinking correct on this?  or what am I missing?
