I knew a dive was coming, here is how. I did nothing... 50% serious, 100% true

This is a semi serious post but 100% true... Just thought I would share.

About 2 months ago I was at Microcenter doing a GPU run on one of their shipment days. I happened to be first in line this day. Second in line was a young kid who was skipping school with his dad so they could buy a GPU for gaming. I felt bad and let him go in front of me. Ok, now to the point....

After picking out my 6 GPUs I waited for them to take the order sheets to the front of the store so we could all check out. As we were waiting in line at check out there was a guy who was buying a printer.

He said, "What's up with all of you buying graphics cards, are they on sale?" Before I could answer the slightly younger guy behind me said... "We are bitcoin mining."

Alert, Alert!!! this guy might have been generalizing, but he wasn't bitcoin mining with 1080ti's.

Guy with printer said, "What is that?"

Idiot behind me said, "See that printer you got there? Bitcoin mining is just like that, except it prints money."

This is when it hit me. OMG, it is people like this guy who are going to eventually ruin all of this.

Ok, so I over reacted in the moment thinking he would ruin it, but it is this kind of person who...

Crypto is getting mature with mass adoption. Unfortunately this adoption is mostly hype related, like buying ripple. Fortunately the foundation and community Bitcoin layed over the years are still there. Price swings up and down, only the true believers remain and meet the future together with Bitcoin.

I agree I think the positive things is people will do a research on what went wrong, or what is going to go wrong, Bitcoin is a peer to peer payment with no third party interference, some them thought, by holding it and limiting the circulation, they can make a lot of money.

Which is why I did nothing and picked up 3 more GPUs this week. I’m not in it to sell now. But I’m also not buying the dip. I’m mining the dip.
