how u make a profit on dips when the whole market is down without buying more

So I have a question here for day traders,how can you make a profit on dips when the whole market is down without buying more?
For e.g if one coin Litecoin was down 50% but Verge was up 50%,I would just sell Verge and buy Litecoin to make a profit but indeed this is not possible when the entire market is down so how do I make a profit right now without buying more but with my existing coins?
