As you may have heard by now, trade.io’s cold storage containing 50M TIO was breached yesterday 08:40 EST. To see the official announcement regarding the breach, please click here:

What is the current status of TIO’s being traded, deposited/withdrawn on exchanges?

trade.io: TIO trading has been disabled. Deposits & Withdrawals are still allowed to enable the Liquidity Pool to continue uninterrupted.

Bancor: The relay has been disabled, and will continue to be disabled until otherwise notified. It’s estimated anywhere from 200K to 400K of the breached TIO was converted on Bancor.

Kucoin: Deposits and Withdrawals have been disabled, and will continued to be so. Trading, however, as of 06:00 EST today, is still enabled. We’ve been in touch with Kucoin admin, and are still in communication with them with regards to shutting down trading. It’s estimated that anywhere from 200K to 400K of the breached TIO was exchanged on Kucoin.

HitBTC: No surprise they have been unresponsive with regards to our communication. As a result we have no control over what the hacker does on that exchange. Please be aware that the ANY transactions on HitBTC from 08:40 EST 20/10/18 will NOT be eligible for the upcoming fork, with no exceptions. As a result please do not trade TIO on HitBTC.

Gate.io: Similar to HitBTC, no surprise they have been unresponsive with regards to our communication. As a result we have no control over what the hacker does on that exchange. Please be aware that the ANY transactions on gate.io from 08:40 EST 20/10/18 will NOT be eligible for the upcoming fork, with no exceptions. As a result please do not trade TIO on gate.io.


What next in terms of the Fork?

The decision has been made to fork TIO. However, there is no timeline yet set, let alone a decision as to if it will remain an ERC-20 or will be housed on a different blockchain. Obviously, we will keep you alerted as to the next steps and timing as decisions are made and timelines are accepted.

How about the Liquidity Pool?

Entering and exiting the Liquidity Pool remains completely uninterrupted, and as participants witnessed last night, distributions have remained uninterrupted as well.

It’s obvious that given the positive momentum that trade.io has seen in the past month, it is now a major focal point of competitors, and we guarantee you we will not submit to their malicious actions. We have the strongest community in crypto, and we assure you we will end up stronger as a result of actions like these and any such attacks in the future.

Anyone affected by the breached, I no longer holds my TIO tokens because I already dumped them months ago but if anyone has been trading in Trade.io I do hope that you are not a victim by those hackers. Their medium link was provided so just follow them if you wanted to get updates.

​​50 million TIO tokens were stolen from the Trade.io's cold wallet.

Suspicious trading activity began on the Bancor and Kucoin platforms.

A little later, it became known that TIO was delisted from Bancor.

TIO tokens were designed for the liquidity pool of the Trade.io platform. According to preliminary estimates, the attackers transferred about 1.3 million stolen tokens to Bancor and Kucoin. Currently, both sites help Trade.io in investigation.

Currently, the team is considering the possibility of hard forks, which will make stolen tokens useless. Representatives of the platform promised to make their decision within 24 hours.
