At the beginning of the year, i said AI projects would be the smart contracts projects of 2017, but I have been wrong with my predictions all the AI projects I invested in are currently under the water, so I don't think they can beat the likes of Google and Amazon to the race. I don't like investing into a project where I feel it has no chance of leading the race

Yes so far 2018 hasn't been great for AI projects. But I believe that's soon to change as they emerge from their development stage.

They don't necessarily have to beat amazon or google in the race, as there are multiple races. They just have to show their capabilities.

First you need to decide what artificial intelligence is. What now exists is not called artificial intelligence. These are complex algorithmic programs, but not AI. Before the invention of AI is still very long. There is no technology, no principles of its creation. So this is just a loud and pretentious name for complex programs.
