This is not the first time the Crypto ecosystem is being labelled as a Ponzi scheme so I doubt if this will make the value of cryptocurrencies value go down more than it already has! The Cryptocurrency ecosystem has had much heavier negative news than this in the past few weeks.

How can this be a ponzi scheme:

1) Are you told to add any members below you ?

2) Are you told that you will be given any incentive to promote Bitcoins ?

I think media and certain people are defaming Bitcoins just because they missed this huge opportunity.

I don’t think that crypto in general is a ponzi scheme.

But there are tons of new coins that are essentially Ponzi schemes disguised as ico’s. Not to mention the fact that Ponzi scheme are rampant in the crypto space due to lack of regulation.

actually, Bitcoin is not Ponzi scheme but rather a opposite of ponzi scheme, Why because bitcoin doesn't generate returns in the investors, the price of bitcoin directly correlated to its supply and demand, new users that join the bitcoin doesn't fund the older investors while in ponzi,  it generates return for older investors by acquiring new investors and promising high rates of return with little risk to invest, definitely a scam, Therefore there no such connection in price deflation of bitcoin

Even if you analyze Bitcoin in a deliberate manner. You will find out that the auditing system itself and the public ledger itself is the definitive proof that Bitcoin is not and will never become a ponzi scheme. It is recording every transaction so how can this Bitcoin thing become a scam. Is it a scam that leaves a trail of solid evidence? That is just absurd.

Current price movements and price gains reflects some ponzi scheme. But as this is a wordwide environment, it is hard to stop and make people lost interest on crypto coins.
