A friend of mine is entering a weight loss program (on HealthyWage) and he is certain that he can lose the goal amount (30 kg in 10 months), I am certain too, he is very trustable.

Losing weight is one of the hardest thing to do.  Your friend could be the most trustworthy person in the world, but he can't guarantee he will lose the weight.   Evolution has made the mind overruled by the stomach.

I agree!  Anything is possible.  But losing weight is improbable.  If you want to bet on it, you should use your own money.  :/

Hence the collateral of $2000. I just don't have money on my debit card

If the guy had the will of steel, he wouldn't be overweight to begin with. Being overweight is typically the result of low willpower.
