First time use confusion. Bitcoin Qt & BtcQuick

I've just purchased a bitcoin from btcQuick and now I'm only waiting for the final step which is "Private Key is in queue to be funded."  Any idea how long this step takes? And what do I do then? I'm using a recent version of BitCoin Qt  (ver8. something ) and I gave my address  to BtcQuick. Will the transfer be automatic or must I do something? I read something about importing a private key but don't understand.
