What the article did not report was the person controlling the
Bitfinex'ed account on Twitter collected $50,000 in bitcoin for a lawsuit he was supposed to lead that did not materialize. That makes him a scammer and a troll.
I reckon the Twitter moderators made the wrong decision in unbanning him.
A spokesman for Bitfinex and Tether denied the claims of spamming and automated mass reporting. He would not say whether the companies had reported the account to Twitter at all, even manually.
