Starting about two or three weeks ago no matter how generous of a fee I put on my Bitcoin transaction, bitpay never accepts payment within the 15 minute window, even if the Bitcoin are sent and on the network within 30 seconds. Is anyone else experiencing difficulties in using vendors that utilize bit pay as a payment vendor?

Bitpay is the payment processor for many websites - normally it accepts the payment as soon as the BTC hits the network and then confirms with the vendor after 5 or 6 confirmations. The invoice that is presented has a 15 minute timer on it and usually acknowledges acceptance of the payment, on behalf of the vendor within the first minute of the 15 minute window.

lately when the payment is sent with 30 seconds,  the 15 minute timer runs out before acceptance, leaving people wondering if their transaction has gone through and mucking with the order completion by the vendor.

I tried the "generous" option in blockchain wallet which adds .01 btc to each transaction to make it high priority  - it made no difference

Bitpay says "that's just the way it works" but it was not the way it just worked prior to 2 weeks ago. They blamed the vendor for asking for too many confirmations. I checked with the vendor and they have not requested or changed anything since first using bitpay

We currently use bitpay however we are seeking a new bitcoin payment gateway due to the time of which it takes for BTC to be deposited into OUR account.

Never had any issues with clients paying, apart from a recent signup which abused the shit out of us for not activating his order immediately.
