Since cryptocurrency values are currently decreasing rapidly, participating in ICOs has effectively become steeper potentially.

I have seen ICOs announce their token price and market caps either as:
-   A fixed ratio to dollar (to be converted to ETH on ICO sale date).
-   A fixed ratio to ETH (or other cryptocurrencies).

Some ICOs react and revise the price/caps before going live (for example, WePower did it recently https://medium.com/wepower/updated-wpr-token-pricing-9c219b571ad), but not all do.

How do ICOs adjust to these cryptocurrency vast swifts in your experience ?

they should choose, use dollar or eth, but today price of eth also down, so maybe if this situation keep continue, pair to dollar is  the best choice

I think the price to dollar will more stable. But ICOs should do more dynamic prices. Based on the current market situation

I think mostly ICOs developer use fiat money as standard of price in their projects, they can revise the price/cap is like wepower's ICO, it must be done because the company behind of the ICOs projects must get the target soft cap and hard cap on their projects, that is best choice to be sucessfull in the ICOs projects to get new funds and expand their business, however the cryptocurrencies are still new in the world, so the volatility are very high, they are too dangerous to be currencies.

They have different styles of adjusting. It is very dependent on how they have set the target and what do they accept as contribution. Normally, if they set the target in ETH there will be no adjustment in ETH and there will be adjustment in Bitcoin and cash. If the target is in USD they tend to fix the price of ETH and BTC at the beginning of the sale. The best way is to use a weighted average of at least the last 5 days and set the target in USD, because at the end of the day, they have to pay "real world" expenses.

I do not think that serious ICOs will change something in their work. They should still work with Ethereum. I am sure the developers who created the projects knew about the possibility of the market fall.

Everytime I have participated in an ICO I have always got the worst end of the stick in this regard and for that reason I vowed to stay away from ICOs. Besides most of them are garbage and a handful you can get cheaper than the ICO, I mean what is even the point? Roll Eyes

I am seen many comments of that type "most ICOs are scams", "garbage", "you can get it cheaper"... Most of these are from people that had bad experiences or did not bother to research.

Because of the sharp decline in the price of ETH, I have seen many ICO projects calculate the price of ICO in the same day as the USD exchange rate.
So I thought, would this be just a new channel to raise money through ETH?
